Frederic Allen Bittner Scholarship Application

The purpose of this scholarship is to offer financial support to deserving current Thrall ISD seniors and/or previous Thrall ISD graduates with demonstrated financial need, encouraging their pursuit of full-time higher education within the state of Texas for the upcoming academic year.

Criteria to Apply:

• Applicant must be a current Thrall High School Senior OR a previous year Thrall ISD graduate.

• The applicant must be enrolling full-time for the upcoming academic year at a college, university, or seminary located in Texas.

• Demonstrated financial need is required.

• Applicants are eligible to reapply annually for the scholarship.

• Application and all supporting documentation must be submitted to the Thrall Community Education Foundation at info@thrallcef.org by April 20th.

• Scholarship winner(s) will be notified prior to the May Thrall ISD Scholarship Banquet. Winners are encouraged to attend the banquet to receive their scholarship certificate.

• Scholarship amounts will vary annually based on the fund's annual investment returns, the number of applicants, and the number of scholarships awarded.

• Scholarship awards will be made payable to the academic institution and mailed directly to the school.

 

Documents Required:

• Completed application.

• Two letters of recommendation.

• A complete high school transcript (for current seniors or first-time college applicants) or the most recent college transcript (for current college students).

• FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) (if additional proof of income is needed, the applicant will be contacted directly).

• Record of any community service hours.
