Harvest Festival
Get ready for a celebration of community and tradition at the Harvest Festival on Friday, November 8, 2024! While we prepare for this exciting event, take a moment to explore photos from previous years' winners.
What is the Harvest Festival
The Harvest Festival's roots stretch back to the 1920s, evolving significantly over the decades. By the 1940s, Thrall Schools had transformed the tradition into vibrant Halloween Carnivals, where each class selected a Queen and raised funds through various activities, from coffee socials to bake sales.

In 2014, the Thrall Community Education Foundation revitalized the Harvest Festival, bringing it back to the heart of the Thrall community. Today, students from each grade nominate a Queen and King candidate. These candidates, supported by their classmates, fundraise through family donations, raffle ticket sales, and auction proceeds. The couple who raises the most funds is honored as the Harvest Festival Queen and King during a coronation ceremony at the festival's close.

All proceeds from the Harvest Festival are directed to the TCEF account, supporting our mission to fund student scholarships, classroom initiatives, and professional development. As a 501(c)(3) organization, TCEF is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities within the community.
